There is also a Boeing version of LEADS, and it's
highly recommended as well. It now includes the 6 Leadership
Attributes from the Boeing Leadership Model. And because the
LEADS program was developed by Dr. Pete Kurzhals from Boeing,
Boeing NMA employees are now able to access this tool for
free.
LEADS was built by over 30
dedicated volunteers from Boeing, the NMA and Dale Carnegie
(DC) – hence the DC logo. At the moment, Pete Kurzhals
is working with Tom Otley, Senior Dale Carnegie VP,
to investigate ways of offering LEADS-related Dale
Carnegie courses at any Boeing site via the Learning Together
Program.
Pete
is exploring a Boeing-wide LEADS application with Julie
Acosta, Norm Bartlett and Rick Stephens, but that’s a slow
process and requires months of evaluation and committee
review.
In the interim, Boeing LEADS is making good
progress, with over 500 users from 42 Boeing sites in its
first 8 months of operation. User feedback has been very
positive, with over 88% of respondents saying that LEADS can
help them in their job and allows them to better understand
and work with the Boeing leadership attributes.
Go to
Inside Boeing, in the search field; enter “LEADS or Boeing

link so you can go directly to the LEADS
assessment.
